Sometimes you take the dare, sometimes you run.
I took the dare.
The dare was to write a novel with the title "Rogue River Robots."
Now I just have to figure out what it's about!
So I'm going UFO hunting this summer to get some ideas.
I'll keep you up to date with posts and photos.
If I you don't hear back from me- watch the skies...

What a fantastic title! And image! I love them.
Some of my stories evolved from a title...
And I watch the skies all the time... :-)
I was wondering if anyone else started with titles, Vesper. I started collecting UFO stories and reported landings from around the country.
There is a story that HP Lovecraft's bent for strange stories- like "The Color Out of Space"- started after he came face to face with an alien?
I agree, wonderful image. Makes me want to go UFO hunting too.
Charles, have you ever interviewed anyone who claims to have been abducted? It's a trip and a half that really leaves you wondering.
You sure have a great cover there. The title does fire up the imagination. I used to listen to Art Bell whenever I could. His guests had some fascinating stories.
Hi Bernard! Art Bell definitely had some great stuff. Remember the Shadow People?
Yeah, I do. I also remember the great stuff when he used to get author Whitley Streiber on there. Now those were really out THERE. :)
Boy were they. When Art and Whitley teamed up, all bets were off!
We've been watching that show Ancient Aliens on H2. Most of the time, it's very silly. One of our favorite personalities from the show is Giorgio Tsoukalos - he's got Einstein hair. You might check out the program, if you haven't already. There's all kinds of material in there that can spark a story plot.
I like the title Rogue River Robots. I've never really started from a title. I'll usually throw a working title on something after I've got enough of an idea sprouted.
That's a really cool picture. I stared at if for a minute.
I'm going to try watching that show, Travis. Thanks, much!
Hi Michael- it really is cool, isn't it?
Have you ever heard someone playing the saw? It sounds just like the noise that accompanies a UFO. It's pretty cool :)
That is so true, Bonnee. That is the best description of the sound I've ever heard. When did you have your experience. You have to write me about this. Love to hear about it.
